Automere Caproni Capriolo 75 Turismo this beautiful little italian Gem has been part of a private collection in italy and bought into the uk and registered by ourselves. it has had a restoration at some point in its lifetime but has some paint in perfections and marks (picured) which would need to be corrected to make it perfect. other than that i can not fault it. fresh caswell tank liner and a check over with oil changed has been completed by our workshop, ready to take the new custodian on a ride back in time. Comes with a V5 document and is MOT and tax exempt.

A bit on Caproni, Named after the roe deer, the Capriolo marque emerged in 1948 from the ashes of the giant Caproni group, formerly one of Italy’s largest manufacturing concerns. Caproni had been founded in the first decade of the 20th Century as an aircraft manufacturer, and only turned to motorcycle production after WW2. The firm commenced with a 50cc ultra-lightweight before swiftly moving on to a 75cc model, the Capriolo 75, which was notable for its use of a pressed-style frame and an unusual four-stroke engine of the overhead ‘face cam’ type, which also featured a longitudinal (rather than transverse) crankshaft. Sports versions won their class in the 1954 Milan-Taranto and 1955 Giro Motociclistico d’Italia. When engineer Giovanni Caproni died in 1957, the company was reorganised and adopted the ‘Aeromere’ name, a shortened form of Aero Meccanica Regionale. Its motorcycles continued to be badged as ‘Capriolo’ until production ceased in 1963.

If you wish to collect your motorcycle we are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, we can arrange evening or weekend collections by appointment, we do have a forklift, so loading onto larger vehicles is not a problem

Deliveries Overseas

For Mainland Europe we have vehicles that regulary visit Italy, this is not a next day delivery, but we can offer good rates. For smaller bikes and Competition Motorcycles we are able to remove the wheels, and pack most motorcycles into a wooden crate, this can then be sent by the pallets system. this is by far the cheapest and quickest delivery service. We also have excellent Air Freight Rates and have a lot of experience of sending Crated motorcycles all over the world, depending on location we have found air freight to be cheaper than sea freight at times, Contact Us for any advice or quotations.

Taxes and Import Duties

For all orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, the 20% UK VAT is removed from the price, International customers would then need to use a customs agent at country of arrival in order to pay your country taxes, we are able to recommend agents if you do not have one:
